By standardizing recycle stations across public spaces at St. Elizabeth Hospital, it has enabled patients, visitors and our associates to clearly understand the role they play in the disposal process. We’ve noticed an increase of recycling content by as much as 4,000lbs from everyday items being properly disposed after only a year of implementation.
Max-R truly believes in ‘creating a better product that leads to a better future…’ and we have been very pleased with our business relationship with them.
Max-R products are the perfect complement for our zoo operations. The recycled content of the Max-R Lumber aligns with our vision to be a leader in conservation and the durability is beyond compare. During 2013's devastating flood, 90% of the zoo island flooded and 40 out of 44 buildings had to be gutted. Our Max-R bins not only remained intact, but after a couple of rounds with the power washer looked brand new.
The ability to customize recycling bins to fit our program and waste streams was critical in helping the University of Alberta to increase our waste diversion. The customization Max-R offers, coupled with their outstanding service, elevates them above and beyond any other company in the industry.
As a campus we created a goal to provide clear and easy options for waste, recycling, and composting. However a variety of bin types, sizes, and colors created confusion across our campus community. We made the purposeful choice to work with Max-R and created a consistent design that is both convenient for our customers to use and efficient for our dining and facilities staff to maintain. The bins are durable, easy to keep clean, and a highly visible symbol of our commitment to sustainability.
